Scouting is a worldwide movement for boys and girls. Worldwide there are two organisations. The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts” (WAGGGS) is an organisation for girls. The World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is the organisation for both boys and girls. 

Because in the Netherlands, boys and girls play their games together in one group or even in the same section, Scouting Nederland is member of the WOSM as well the WAGGGS.
