International

Scouting is a worldwide movement for boys and girls. Worldwide there are two organisations. The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts” (WAGGGS) is an organisation for girls. The World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is the organisation for both boys and girls. 

Because in the Netherlands, boys and girls play their games together in one group or even in the same section, Scouting Nederland is member of the WOSM as well the WAGGGS.

Museums

Curious about the history of Scouting in the Netherlands? There are several Scouting museums where you can find out everything about Scouting.

Nationaal Scouting Museum

National Scouting Museum: this museum is located in Baarn, on the campsite Buitenzorg. It has Scouting materials from the past on display. Visit the website.

Scouting Museum Haagse Randstad: this museum is a travelling museum and is only open to the public during several Scouting events. Visit the website.

Accommodations

Scouting is everywhere! There are 1,100 Scout groups in the Netherlands and a large number of accommodations and campsites. Scouting Nederland also has 'label sites'. These qualified camping grounds are available for hire to visiting international Scout groups.
